Yogurt Six Ways

Yogurt is one of my favorite sources of protein in the morning.

Here at Thyme & Again, I’ve shown my quick and easy Overnight Oats, but I also love to use yogurt as a side dish, a component to dessert, a topping and a dip.

So, here are some of my favorite (and incredibly easy) yogurt-y creations:

Asian Yogurt Topping

Ingredients & Recipe: 

Mix 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt with 1 tsp soy sauce, 1/2 tsp of ground ginger.

Uses: 

This mixture can go great as a small dollop on top of an Asian-style cooked protein.

Apple and Peanut Butter Dip

Ingredients & Recipe: 

Mix 1/2 cup of nonfat Greek yogurt with 1 tbsp peanut butter and 1 tsp of apple butter.

Uses: 

This mixture goes great on toast or as a fruit/snack dip for lunches!

Tea Time Yogurt Blend

Ingredients & Recipe: 

Mix 1 cup of nonfat Greek yogurt with 1 tsp of black chia seeds, 1/2 tsp of honey (or agave nectar, if you have it), 1 tsp of brewed earl grey tea.

Uses: 

With a tea-infused goodie such as this, you’ll want it as your yogurt side or main course for breakfast or brunch with a healthy serving of fruit.

Tangy Burger Topping

Ingredients & Recipe: 

Mix 1/2 cup of nonfat Greek yogurt with a pinch of parsley, lemon pepper, thyme, salt & pepper, and 2 tsp of mustard.

Uses: 

This yogurt blend will make the perfect tangy topping for any veggie/meat burger, as well as a fun veggie dip.

Coconut Combination

Ingredients & Recipe; 

Mix 1/2 cup of nonfat Greek yogurt with 1-1/2 tbsp of smashed toasted coconut pieces, 1 tsp of honey.

Uses: 

Use this mixture as an accompaniment to breakfast or a thick dressing for fruit salad.

Savory Greek Dressing

Ingredients & Recipe: 

Mix 1/2 cup of nonfat Greek yogurt with 1 tsp of Hidden Valley’s Greek Dressing dry mix, pinch of chives, dash of pepper.

Uses: 

Much like its mustard-y counterpart, this mixture goes great on top of a tasty burger, as a fry dip or a veggie dip!
